So to a company as polarizing as Apple, myths are common. There are a few myths about Apple that people actually believe.
1. Macs don’t get viruses:
There are plenty of viruses and malware for Macs out there, but they are less in number compared to PC. Windows still hold the No.1 spot when it comes to market share with a huge share around 90%. So obviously, malware developers would prefer to target Windows-based PC because of the difference in numbers. That doesn’t necessarily mean Mac users are safe, just be cautious when downloading stuff from unknown resources.
2. Apple logo is a tribute to Allan Turing:
People believe that the Apple logo is a tribute to the great mathematician Allan Turing who committed suicide by biting a poisoned apple. The designer of the Apple logo said that the bite in the Apple differentiates it from being mistaken as a cherry.
3. Apple invented tablet computers:
Tablets have existed much earlier even before Apple could’ve thought of inventing the iPad. There were tablets running Windows XP and Windows 7 but it was painful to use them on a touch screen. Though iPad was the first tablet computer that was designed properly for the consumers.
4. Macs and Android don’t get along well:
“I have a MacBook/iMac, I’m not able to use my Android device with them” is what people say most of the time, Actually you can. You can send and receive files using Android app manager with no need to open iTunes or anything else.
5. Apple products are overpriced:
I’ve seen many posts and videos over the internet that state that Apple products are overpriced, however, that is partially true. Apple products are not overpriced but are pricy. Yes, Apple makes pretty durable hardware and high-end specs with a beautiful design that makes you go *Woah*. Considering all this and a pretty smooth experience the OS provides, what you pay can be justified
6. Apple is nothing without Steve Jobs:
Steve Jobs was nothing but a great businessman. What makes you think that Apple will drown if there was no Steve Jobs? Tim Cook is as capable as Steve Jobs and I don’t see nobody not buying an Apple product because there’s no Steve Jobs anymore.
7. Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak debunks one of the Apple’s biggest myths:
